During the traditional "lacquer feeling" in life
The second -generation Yasuto, who felt a sense of crisis in lacquerware, tried the lacquer ware in the fusion of glass and lacquer. It was a very difficult work to make the two close together, but with the cooperation of the Nagano Prefectural Industrial Technology Center, trial and error was repeated, and finally the lacquer glass "Sukitoyo" was born in 1994.
"Surprisingly sold at the exhibition, and above all, I was glad that it was popular with the younger generation," said Yasuto.
And the third generation Reo -san and his wife, Chie, held a desire to make the lacquer glass created by my father more fun and more in my life. We launched a new brand “Hundred colors” with a rich design, creating a variety of tableware one after another.
"We are now developing products with European designers and preparing overseas expansion," says Reo. The evolved Kiso lacquer ware technique is now flapping to the world.

Kisoji's gem, "Om comb", is the name of the Edo world.
The origin of craftsmanship is to make tools without compromise
Om comb is a traditional Kisoji craft that has a legendary headache of Hatago's daughter, "Roku", with a comb of "Minebari" tree.
Mr. Shinohara is a hard and sticky "Minebari" production area, and in Kiso -mura, where the legend is left, and still inherits its tradition.
From a tree with only 8 cm wide, cut out 100 teeth by hand. "It's difficult to grind the saws of the saw, but the most important thing is that the tools are for four or five years for the master told me that I had a full -fledged tool." I look back on the old days.
The most important tools in combs are the saws for "tooth ground" and "mountain removal". The two are absolutely necessary to be the same thickness, and it seems that the creation of these two saws is the gateway to becoming a real craftsman.
In addition, the wood is natural, so the wood grain varies. The comb that Mr. Shinohara, who actually went to the mountains to see a tree and studied a tree that is easy to make a comb, is an unmistakable masterpiece gem.

Kimono with plenty of wisdom and affection unique to handicrafts "Cat" is a chan -chan -chanko, which is only for the back that has been used for a long time in Minamiso -cho. There are various theories, such as the name of the name cat, and because the appearance of wearing and working is similar to cats, but there is a reason why this unique clothing was born.
Minamisakiso is an area where crafts such as Hinogasa and Norokurowork are active. It is a rationality of winter clothes and work clothes, which warms the cold back and eliminates the sleeves that tend to get in the way of work and the dirty frontal part.
"When I saw it for the first time after married to Minamisoso, I thought it was!? (Laughs) But when I wear it, it's warm, it's easy and I can't let go. I started making and selling, and Mr. Yoshimura, the chairman. Now it is so popular that the union can sell tens of thousands of copies a year.
Mr. Nohara, who was the vice chairman of the union and was once involved in sewing work, said, "The old days of each family were really comfortable. I'm aiming for something, but the base is the "cat" made by grandmother. "
In fact, the shape that looks unlikely to be unusual is actually particular, and it seems that there is a device that fits the body. The reason why the cat is surprisingly warm may be because of the love of the mother.
